There are two deciding factors in determining the best strains for productivity:
- Indica or Sativa
- THC content
Indica or Sativa?
One of those lies in the type of species — Indica or Sativa. Scientific research doesn’t back the nomenclature or divisions as such. However, there’s plenty of anecdotal evidence to help us out.
Because of this, dispensaries label their products as either Indica, Sativa or a mix of both.
Indica-dominant plants get a bad rep for placing you “ON the couch.”
They’re wonderful for relaxation, sleep, and chronic pain.
What Indica species aren’t great for is upping your energy and productivity levels.

All of them are, at a minimum, 70 percent Sativa, up to 100 percent. The hybrids, or mixed plants, contain a remaining amount of Indica.

Anyone who’s been smoking buds for a while will be familiar with haze and its siblings, including Amnesia Haze.
We obtained these seeds in the 90s, and they’ve been successful ever since. You may be wondering why this is? Well, not only is Haze a high-yield plant, but it’s a strong one at that. It’s a potent species containing 100 percent Sativa — the only pure option on our list.
It can aid in productivity and may also help reduce stress, kick depression’s butt and stimulate your appetite. The latter may not be positive for everyone, we know. However, for those who struggle with any psychological difficulties that curb your desire to eat, it will stimulate you back to the plate.
After about 9 to 11 weeks, any grower with a little experience will get to enjoy these buds and their potency. It does take some patience, but the fruits of your labor can be measured both indoors and out.

Power Plant is a powerful Sativa at 90 percent, with 10 percent Indica and originally comes from South Africa. It made its way to the Netherlands in the 90s and has been a staple in most coffee shops there ever since.
This species is easy to grow, making it a favorite for all the newbies out there. It grows both indoors and outdoors with a yield of 450 Gr. / 16 Oz per m2 / 11 ft2) or 700 Gr. / 25 Oz, respectively. Another upside here is the short flowering time of 8 to 9 weeks only.
Whether you choose to grow or simply enjoy the smoke, you’ll notice the buds are pretty in color and quite compact.
The taste of this species is unique with a peppery, sharp, yet sweet taste that lingers on the tongue. For many, this is a positive, though may take some getting used to.
Its usage can cover a multitude of conditions but is popular among those with chronic pain and depression. Smoke it day or night as it’s suitable for both.

At 80 percent Sativa and 20 percent Indica, Super Skunk is indeed skunky. You either love or hate the smell, so we can’t draw any conclusions here.

It brings together an old-school Haze edition called Super Silver Haze along with Shiva Skunk. The beautiful large buds this species produces makes it one for the books.
Think of a citrusy taste combined with sweetness. The smooth flavor is suitable for those that may otherwise be turned off by that skunk quality.
This strain provides a comfortable high you can enjoy both day and night, making it perfect for getting on with the tasks ahead of you. Your stress and depression levels may see a decrease here — the 20 percent Indica factor provides just enough relief, allowing the Sativa dominance to do its job.
The 2 percent of CBD in Green Revolution means it contains the most of any on this list. THC is important, yes, but this high CBD level is important where therapeutic quality is concerned. This is why you find medical oils made from it.

Flowering in as little as seven weeks, this species can be grown both indoors and out. You could receive up to 900 Gr. / 32 Oz per m2 / 11 ft2) with the latter and 450 Gr. / 16 Oz under your specialized lights inside. It’s another one that’s easy to grow, and for that, we’re thankful.
It’s perfect for use as a medical strain and with conditions like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. Relaxation can increase while stress and depression take a dip. With a clearer mind, your productivity levels could rise.
There’s a 0.5 percent CBD content while THC carries 20 percent. A 30:70 Indica-Sativa ratio means you can find a sweet area between feeling blissful but concentrated.
